A leading NY based brokerage has an opportunity for a junior Business Analyst to work directly alongside the COO.

Responsibilities:

Assist the COO to ensure the pipeline of projects is managed in terms of timelines and budgets
Analyze existing procedures from front office through middle and back office to identify opportunities to create efficiencies, reduce risk and cost
Design and implement reporting systems
Generate Management Information for the COO – both at his request and under you own initiative where you identify trends which may help the business
Use SQL / VBA to automate processes
Document business requirements to allow technology accurately build solutions which meet the needs of the business

Experience & Skills:

Some Financial Services experience would be beneficial; internships will be looked on favorably
Light programming skills in VBA or SQL would be advantageous
Proven ability to analyze data
Must be a self-starter as much of this role with be self directed
