Cubiq have recently partnered with a revolutionary new air taxi transportation client developing all electrical, vertical take-off and landing aircraft to shape the future of urban e-mobility.
 
Your Role and your Team: 
  
We are looking for an outstanding Performance development engineer to join our innovative team that will shape the future of urban e-mobility.
  
You will report to the Multiphysics Team Leader and will contribute, as part of the propulsion integrated cross-functional team, to the development, certification, and delivery of the Jet. This includes the development of the performance model of the propulsion system of our e-VTOL.
  
  
Your Day to Day:
  
Develop and model the performance of the propulsion system using MATLAB/Simulink.
Define and integrate subsystems and components models within a larger framework in MATLAB/Simulink
Specification of system, subsystem, and components requirements
Contribute to trade-off studies between the different sub-systems, in particular, related to the performance of the electrical machine and power electronics.
Contribute to modelling activities and model development of the propulsion actuators and their dynamic behaviour.
Provide detailed reports for certification purposes.
Close cooperation with the engineers developing the electrical machine, power electronics, and control systems.
Support and contribute to the analysis of aircraft performance.
  
  
Your Profile:
  
M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is required
5+ years of experience in the aviation sector – dealing with modelling, performance modelling, or actuator dynamics is required
Experience with Simulink/MATLAB is required
Background in the modelling of the performance of electric machines, power electronics, and electrical actuator dynamics.
Project management experience is beneficial
Experience in capture tools, such as Siemens Polarion or IBM Rational Doors is advantageous
High level of self-reliance with the ability to work in a team, as well as autonomous
Target-oriented, driven work style with analytic problem-solving skills are required
Dynamic and positive personality
Fluent English language skills are required
