We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager Engineer to be based at our client site in Cumbria.

Our client is a world class provider of advanced solutions for defence, aerospace, rail and telecommunications applications - meeting the needs of global customers.

Specialists in LED lighting, night vision lighting, electronic component supplies and data capture products. Our client offers comprehensive design, manufacturing and test facilities for electronic and electro-optic systems and components within the company's UK manufacturing centre.

SUMMARY
Oversee the day to day operations of the Finance function, minimising and mitigating financial risk by ensuring suitable financial controls are maintained. Overseeing Company Cost base and working multi discipline teams to maximise protecting Profitability

RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS
  • Liaise directly with Group Finance Director to establish and manage their financial information requirements
  • Liaise with and produce financial information for the board in order to provide accurate analysis to guide decision making.
  • Attend and input to Monthly Business Area meetings to provide financial input and a global business perspective
  • Lead the Finance Team by overseeing the day to day operations, providing support, training to the team members in order to provide a world class Finance function
  • Produce Management Accounts to report monthly profit and performance and for input into the Group Accounts for internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage Inventory Valuation to ensure accurate information is reported financially
  • Produce Annual Budget and Forecasts to enable report and manage annual profitability and for input into the Group Accounts for internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide support and analysis for Capital Investment decisions, including review of Capex Business Cases, and agreement of new HP funding requirements.
  • Manage the relationship with the payroll provider to ensure that costs of outsourcing are managed and service level agreement adhered to
  • Management of IFS Financials, ensuring suitable financial controls are in place mitigating any business risk
  • Manage the BUPA scheme ensuring that costs are minimised
  • Responsible for the Company's insurance cover.
QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified CIMA, ACA or ACCA EXPERIENCE
Relevant industry experience in a similar role ADDITIONAL SKILLS
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • ERP experience
  • Experience of leading meetings
  • Experienced in process change
  • Common sense approach
  • Excellent Verbal and Written communications
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external
    Customers
  • Ability to present to all levels of the organisation
