About the Role
An opportunity for a self-motivated individual to join a progressive organisation within the Building Services industry. You will be required to design & estimate projects within a niche market whilst upholding their company values: customer connection, employee experience & business intent.
Key responsibilities
  • Being responsible for completing, overseeing, and checking designs and estimates
  • Reviewing, understanding, and defining the scope of works for mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and controls
  • Prepare equipment schedules for estimating/ final design and check those generated by others
  • Obtain prices for component items
  • Ensure all items are included to the correct client scope in accordance with the project specific contract.
  • Prepare tenders and cost estimates and check those generated by others
  • Assist Managers with initial conceptual design
  • Complete all P&IDs and check those generated by others
  • Assist in the procurement of specialist packages
  • Prepare Technical Submissions & Controls Philosophy’s and check those generated by others
  • Complete & review Design Hazard & Risk Assessments
  • Competent and confident communicator
  • Liaising and working with ATS project team members to develop the design of projects and prepare for delivery
  • Prepare initial project programme of works and check those generated by others
  • Attend project commencement/ project review meetings when required
  • Manage Commissioning Plans
  • Assist Project team with identifying any design issues identified at commissioning stage
  • Provide toolbox type talks to other members of the design and delivery teams to improve knowledge base internally
Successful Applicant  
Successful applicant will have these skills:
  • Educated to HND level or above
  • Essential to have experience of working within HVAC & Building Services
  • Experience working with Autocad & Hevacomp
  • Understanding of NEC contracts
  • Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Outlook
  • Excellent Communicator
