Broster Buchanan has partnered with a well-respected organisation that is currently going through a large IT transformation programme. As part of this transformation, our client is looking for 3 x QA/Test Analysts
 
As QA/Test Analyst you will play a key role in supporting the IT team by designing and executing the tests that ensure products and services meet and exceed expectations of quality. The organisation is looking for Test Analysts that love what they do and are keen to learn new skills. Thee right cultural fit to the business will key to the success in this role. They look people that are key to ensuring you are able to enhance the current test team by bringing in new and existing test skills to the team.
 
The role will be predominantly manual testing, but an awareness of automation would be beneficial but not essential. You will primarily use requirements based and exploratory based functional test approaches.
 
Experience of supporting user acceptance testing would be a plus. With regards to non-functional testing, the experience of compatibility testing, accessibility testing and usability testing would be beneficial.
 
There is a broad range of technologies used across the department, so the ability to pick up new technologies is probably more important than having specific knowledge of certain ones. Being able to query and manipulate data in MS SQL databases would be a common one across our products though, so experience in that is beneficial.
 
As QA/Test Analyst you will add value in the following ways:
  • Works with other members of the team to determine how to create and execute tests that prove the requirements have been met
  • Has domain, product and business knowledge and can apply this in their approach to testing
  • Takes both a business and an operational view when analysing the product, feature, or system to be tested
  • Supports the other members of the Quality Assurance team
