This is a key hire into an established Finance team who operate on a global basis from their Head Office in North Yorkshire. 
     To provide financial management, input and analysis for UK and one overseas location plus holding companies working with the Finance Director and being commercially involved in all business activities and new initiatives.

Nature and Scope

On an ongoing basis, the incumbent will be responsible for providing the Management team with a monthly summary of key financial and market trends; preparing a standardised review document for issue.
·         Manage the finance functions of the UK and overseas location:
    i.     reporting to meet group requirements.
   ii.    responsibilities for budget, MTP and financial forecast process
  iii.    provide financial input and analysis for commercial activities, including commercial investment, margin, new projects etc.
 iv.    Represent UK finance function as appropriate e.g., Wider business workshops.          
·         Manage a team of accountants, finance assistants and credit controllers.
·         Liaise with other functions within Group and other international subsidiaries.
·         Develop business strategies and ensure that overall business goals are achieved.
·         Produce budgets, business forecasts and medium-term plans.
·         Deputise for the Finance Director in the UK, as appropriate
The key challenges of this position include:
   i.       The ability to manage different sources and volume of information in an effective and timely way in order that the best information is available to minimise the risk on key business decisions as well as dealing with subsidiaries overseas.
  ii.       The ability to prioritise workload against specific projects.
 iii.       The ongoing management of powerful information tools.

Key Accountabilities
1.    Manage information systems.
2.    Arrange and implement ad hoc financial projects.
3.    Cash flow management.
4.    Analyse key financial information and prepare management summaries.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will have an academic qualification of degree standard, ideally with 4-6 years experience in a business finance or public accountancy background and be a member of a professional accountancy body.
You will be results driven with excellent commercial awareness and financial acumen alongside strong analytical skills.
With a confident and professional manner, you will have the ability to work productively and flexibly under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
Strong communication skills are essential as you will be working alongside the Finance Director and managing a team of 10 people.
