My client  provides residential care for children and young people with emotional and behavioural issues. We are looking to recruit an experienced, committed Registered Manager to open and manage a new 5 bed OFSTED regulated home in the Rochester area.
The package on offer is truly market-leading, with a salary of up to £48k + option to earn another £12k in bonuses, as well as a £5000 welcome bonus.

About You:

The ideal Registered Manager will need to hold or be willing to work towards a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management, with a minimum of two years’ proven management experience working with children in a similar residential environment.   Our client is committed to providing all staff with a detailed and comprehensive induction and mentoring program which will support a Registered Manager's transition into the Company.
The Registered Manager Role and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Commitment to working with children and young people with complex and challenging high-end behavioural needs.
  • To lead and inspire a staff team and take responsibility for their training, development, supervisions and rotas.
  • Be a positive role model to the children and young people.
  • Ensuring the highest quality of care
  • Managing budgets
  • Ensuring that all current legislation is met
  • Developing and maintaining key relationships with children, staff, parents and professionals
The Registered Manager will need to:
  • Have a proven track record in Managing Children's homes including recent positive Ofsted inspection reports
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with people of various ages, cultures and abilities.
  • Be a motivated and committed individual, with a calm approach.
  • Good written and verbal English skills.
  • Appropriate knowledge and experience of residential care regulated by Ofsted.
  • Able to react calmly in stressful situations and deal with difficult and challenging behaviours. 
  • Able to Drive with own car would be an advantage due to the location of the home.
Our client, a family owned company has an enviable reputation with local authorities for delivering good outcomes for young people and demonstrating resilience.   The company also delivers education across two school sites (DFE registered), encompasses a Health and Well Being service which provides and delivers assessments and therapies. Our client currently operates nine registered homes all rated Good or Outstanding and you would become a successful part of the team within the home with full support from an active and engaged Deputy, head office and senior management team.
