Office Administrator - 6 months FTC - Spinningfields

obodo are seeking a hard-working, flexible individual to help support and enhance the recruitment and talent processes within our high-growth, lean start-up design and development studio in Spinningfields, Manchester for an initial fixed-term period.

The Role

obodo empowers freelance designers and businesses across the world to create the products we love. We’re only at the beginning of our journey and have some big ideas. To make sure we see these through we are looking for an Office Administrator to join the team and work in a cross-functional capacity across the business.

Primarily working remotely under current Covid-19 restrictions, you’ll be part of our core team in Manchester helping ensure we go above and beyond our client expectations.

How you’ll contribute

  • Work with Operations and Marketing to ensure a streamlined and well scheduled back-office able to facilitate our project needs.
  • The successful candidate will be expected to spend several hours each day sending pre-written messages to potential jobs using the Upwork platform (no prior experience required) 
  • The candidate will be required to add small elements of customisation to some of the messages, so should be able to write in fluent English and understand the basics of our business model and our clients’ businesses
  • All the required training will be provided, but the candidate will need to  be comfortable writing in English, with a minimum of spelling and grammatical errors
  • Create marketing content and contribute to talent brand marketing.
  • Work closely with the Operations and Talent Acquisition Manager to continuously improve candidate experience.
  • Manage ATS/CRM systems with a laser focus on data integrity.
  • Build and present data reports and insights.
  • Contribute to talent community engagement strategy.
  • A point of contact for inbound and outbound administrative enquiries
  • Ensure back-office administration is up to date for our studio team to start on new projects - NDA’s, Purchase Orders, Invoices, new account creation etc.

This role is for you if

  • 2+ years administrative experience - preferably in the digital sector
  • Familiarity with ATS/CRM systems (we use JobAdder), tracking data, invoicing/finance and contract tools
  • Awareness of current HR practices, recruitment and labour markets
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment with a distributed team - agency or start-up background would be a bonus!

We are based in the WeWork Spinningfields location close to Deansgate train/tram station. We do also operate a flexible work/office hours policy too.
