MBA are proud to partner one of the Midlands most innovative finance organisations in their search for an experienced Technical Business Analyst (SQL) on a permanent basis. 
The Technical Business Analyst (SQL) will work with the business and IT to analyse their requirements and design solutions for IT to deliver that take into account existing system architectures.

Technical Business Analyst (SQL) – Responsibilities
Primary duties: To analyse and document demand from the business, third parties and IT to ensure that the software development team have everything they need to deliver. 

Secondary duties: To assist product owners with Technical queries that come from the business

Key Responsibilities:
To work with internal and external stakeholders at all levels to analyse both functional and non-functional requirements. 

To work directly with systems and databases to understand how they work without the need to involve developers.

To work with Scrum Masters and other Analysts/Product Owners to agree a deliverable solution.

To create technical documentation or user stories for the development teams to a standard that allows them to enhance existing/create new applications or system integrations. 

To work directly with developers or other analysts to ensure the best possible solution is designed and agreed.

Run workshops to investigate user requirements, agree solutions and produce good quality output. 

Ensure that developers have all the information they need in a timely manner so that projects can be delivered to timescales.

Technical Business Analyst (SQL) – Skills

Functional Knowledge:
  • Commercial experience of analysing and documenting complex systems and B2B API integrations.
  • Experience of working in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) software delivery teams using Azure DevOps, VSTS or JIRA.
  • Excellent SQL and database design knowledge
  • Experience of using tools such as SQL profiler to understand how system and database integrate
  • Data mapping between APIs and System Databases
Nice to have: 
  • VB6, VB.Net, C# .net, Stored Procedures
  • Postman, Swagger
  • Knowledge of the Insurance industry
  • Knowledge of RPA
General Background, Experience & Professional Qualifications:
  • STEM Degree or equivalent.
  • At least 3-5 years commercial experience as a technical business analyst on Enterprise-level projects in an agile environment.
  • Experience of delivering complex B2B integration or data mapping/migration projects.
  • Advantageous - experience of working as a Software Developer in a Microsoft environment.

Salary: £38,000 / £45,000 +
