The Company

VCH have partnered with an international management consultancy in their search for an Associate with a focus on projects in cleantech, renewable energy, environmental-tech and agri-tech sectors.

This consultancy have now supported over 200 businesses from around the world to internationalise in emerging markets by representing and managing their services and programs, developing ecosystems with both global and regional stakeholders including building local capacities, government liaison and strategic financing & investment consulting.

The Role
  • Conducting due diligence on innovative technology companies from around the world.
  • Assessing client/project requirements, constantly scanning for new leads, delivering high quality/professional proposals and presentations.
  • Interpreting the requirements of technology companies, supporting them to overcome the challenges of ideation, validation, realising product/solution, customer/partner identification and scaling.
  • Liaising effectively with both the public and private sector to identify gaps for technology intervention and capacity building.
  • Establishing strategic partnerships with international governmental and financial agencies.
  • Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by tracking national and international innovations, policies, regulations and initiatives related to climate change and sustainability
  • Attending workshops, reviewing publications and establishing networks
About You

The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial mindset, with a passion for working within the social impact sector and a strong technical background. A good understanding of technology, product lifecycle, go-to Market strategies, business models, market and product management are essential.
  • Engineering Degree with 4-5 years of workplace experience.
  • Experience with conducting techno-commercial feasibility studies, viability assessments, market research.
  • Exceptional analytical (qualitative and quantitative) and communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • Have experience in managing, coordinating bilateral and multilateral projects and teams.
  • Experience with working with national or international technology organizations, research / innovation labs or similar organizations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and nurture relationships in a challenging multicultural environment.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Comfortable in interacting with and presenting to executives and senior business leaders.
