VCH are working with a forward-thinking digital communications agency in their search for a talented Account Executive to work in the digital department.

You’ll join a friendly, talented team working with an exciting portfolio of regional, national and international clients. This business have been producing high-quality design solutions for over 25 years. As an Account Executive, you will provide a supporting role in the account management team, assisting with day-to-day project management tasks for a variety of digital projects including, but not limited to, websites, e-commerce, email marketing and animation.

The team is extremely friendly and have a very collaborative way of working, sharing a varied and demanding workload. You will work closely and coordinate with all areas of the business and liaise directly with clients on behalf of the team to keep projects on track.
  
You should have:
  
  • Demonstrable organisational and project management skills, ideally gained from experience of working in a digital, design or marketing sector.
  • Great interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with previous experience in a client-facing role.
  • A genuine passion for website and digital design from a user perspective. A basic understanding of website CMS systems would be an advantage.
  • The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and switch focus between projects and tasks as required.
  • A methodical approach and meticulous eye for detail – we care about the small stuff.
  • A ‘can-do’ attitude and interest in gaining new skills and business insights.       
  • Resilience, decisiveness and determination, with a focus on successful outcomes.
  • Competency with Office suite and previous experience working with a project management software (such as Basecamp and Trello) would again be an advantage.
  • Experience with online marketing (PPC, Organic Search, Email and Social) is not a requirement but would be welcome.
Key responsibilities:
  • Work closely with account managers to assist with project management/support and not on bringing in new work. You will be handling and responding to day-to-day client requests and queries via email (monitoring account managers’ emails if requested), project management systems and telephone/video calls.
  • Communication and liaison with the digital team on client queries, in order to provide clients with a timely and accurate response.
  • Participation in digital project meetings, taking and sharing detailed notes and following up actions with clients or members of the team.
  • Taking some initial clients enquiries/requests and generating a specification of what is required for costing.
  • Assisting with the generation of accurate client quotations and invoices.
  • Collation of information from both client and Account Managers to assist with the briefing of projects into the design and/or developer teams.
  • The organisation and delivery of client feedback to the relevant team members.
  • Setting up and tracking project management systems for the collation of information and/or assigning work tasks for each digital project (Training on Basecamp, Trello and Streamtime will be provided).
  • Assisting with the production of detailed digital project specifications in conjunction with the Account Manager and lead developers/designers and keeping track of deliverables against the agreed specification throughout the lifetime of project.
  • Working closely with web designers and developers – having daily contact with the team and detailed knowledge of planned work and priorities, reporting back to account managers and collating daily work reports to detail progress.
  • Managing and monitoring work requests from clients under our agreed maintenance contracts/retainers, prioritising tasks and working with our production coordinator to ensure they are scheduled as needed and project management systems are kept up-to-date on progress. Ensuring agreed contract hours are monitored and reported on.
  • Liaising with clients to gather information and assets to ensure minimise project roadblocks (imagery, content, details for SSL certificates and DNS access). Working with clients to develop content plans for websites and digital projects and assist them by setting up the best system to organise content.
  • Undertaking additional administrative and reporting tasks for projects as required including – compiling reports on web analytics and e-mail campaign statistics, assisting with SSL and domain renewals.
  • Working with the production coordinator to develop realistic and achievable timescales for projects, in line with the wider studio schedule.
  • Regularly update clients on the current work status of their projects and update them on timescales and milestones.
  • Attending client training sessions with developers to assist by making notes of any queries or issues which arise.
