The Regional Sales Manager role is responsible for growing the customer base, through annual software subscription sales, in an assigned territory of row & permanent crops. An agricultural background or farm / ag sales related professions would make the most sense. Secondary would be software sales experience and at least very comfortable in an entirely rural sales environment. The best sales managers develop an understanding of the territory as well as develop relationships with key customers and prospects. You will also partner with the customer success team to ensure a thorough new customer on boarding and kick-off process. This role will require some travel as sales pitches and demonstrations at the farm are the key catalysts to success. You’ll need to possess the ability to work remote, manage your own schedule, budget and resources and demonstrate a software product on a laptop. Closing skill is a must and a passion for assisting would sure help!
