Swiss CNC Machinist


The CNC Swiss Machinist is needed to set-up CNC Swiss Machines in an effort to support our rapidly growing manufacturing processes.

Position: Swiss CNC Machinist
Location: Quakertown, PA
Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Pay Rate: $25 to $29 per hour based on experience

Job Overview:  The CNC Swiss Machinist is needed to set-up CNC Swiss Machines in an effort to support our rapidly growing manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will safely and efficiently set up and operate Swiss CNC machines and maintain a clean, well-organized work area.  In addition, the selected candidate will produce high-precision components as identified in the specifications of the work orders, blueprints, drawings, templates and/or layout. This is a first or second shift opportunity.
Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Sets up CNC equipment by entering instructions and using basic math functions
  • Verifies settings by measuring positions according to job specifications
  • Maintains safe operating conditions .by following all rules and regulations set forth in procedural materials
  • Documents and communicates actions, irregularities, and continuing needs to complete work activities in timely manner with minimal to zero errors
  • 3 years previous CNC Swiss machine set up and operation experience.
  • Vertical Milling experience is essential
  • Horizontal experience preferred
  • Familiar with quality control measures
  • Ability to perform routine calculations
  • Ability to use analytical skills to determine the root cause of problems and find a solution,
  • Uses good judgment in decisions regarding process and problem solving.
  • Ability to make offsets
  • Familiar with CAD and Fusion 360
Working Conditions:
  • The majority of the time will be spent in a plant environment with constant and moderate noise and within a controlled temperature environment.
  • Working near moving parts will occasionally be necessary.
  • Working with cleaning solvents and cutting oils will be a necessary part of the job.
  • Extended hours beyond the normal week will be necessary when specific shipments are due; thus overtime will be necessary.
