Immediate need to add Maintenance Technicians to a growing company. The successful candidate must have 3 to 5 years industrial maintenance experience.

Location: Kutztown, PA
Type: Full-Time, Permanent (7pm to 7am Shift)

Job Description:  The Maintenance Technician (NIGHTS) is primarily responsible for all mechanical equipment throughout both production facilities and troubleshooting of production equipment along with mechanical infrastructure needs. This position is responsible for routine preventive maintenance of equipment, maintaining production equipment, performing advance shop duties, and construction projects as required.
 
The candidate must be career oriented and desire long-term employment and advancement within the organization. The Company primarily promotes from within.
 
Education: The successful candidate must possess a High School Diploma or GED.
 
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular and preventive maintenance on dust collector, mixers, extruders, equipment, and other facility repairs.
  • Assure absolute safety of working conditions and environment while performing housekeeping tasks
  • Troubleshoots to determine simple electrical problems
  • Responsible to perform other duties and activities as directed
 
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or GED recipient with 3-5 years industrial maintenance experience
  • Electro-Mechanical experience a plus
  • Must be able to read all mechanical prints and equipment breakdowns
  • Must be able to build systems by lift off of prints
  • Must be a master of all welding styles
  • Must have skills in hydraulics/pneumatics, machine shop equipment, and piping
  • Must be able to rebuild any motor, gearbox, valves, etc.
  • Must be able to lay out new installations and have the ability to modify said designs in order to have correct layout
  • Must have a general knowledge of all mechanical systems within the plant
  • Can install and modify any infrastructure needs
  • Must be independent in the ability to do any equipment changeover throughout the plant
  • Must be willing to expand current knowledge by possibly attending training programs
  • Ability to perform the physical aspects of maintenance work
  • Continuous standing, occasional bending
  • Ability to operate moving fork trucks and UNO lifts
  • Climbing ladders up to 50 feet
  • Occasional overhead lifting
  • Occasional lifting up to 100 lbs. knee to waist
  • Following directions hot oil valves with up to 300 degree temperatures
  • Vision ability including close, distance, and peripheral
