Position: Counter Sales Representative - Heating/HVAC & Plumbing Supplies
Location: Central Connecticut

The company specializes in the sales of Heating/HVAC systems, Plumbing Supplies, and maintains a first class Bathroom and Kitchen Showrooms.  The company carries all major brands and provides customized solutions as a one stop shop.
 
Skills:  The Counter Sales Representative must have previous counter sales experience and provide exceptional phone and face to face customer service and sales assistance. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years general Heating/HVAC experience and 3 years of Plumbing sales experience.  The successful candidate must be organized, thoughtful and willing to work with a competitive internal team to help grow the business. The leadership has expressed a desired need for the successful candidate to be humble, ambitious, and smart on their feet to deliver the expected results required by the client. The successful candidate will be responsible to satisfy the component needs of the client.  In addition, the Inside Sales Representative will work with all colleagues towards the overall success of the company, which is measured by the financial performance, customer satisfaction, and positive work environment that all employees deliver.
 
Job Responsibilities include:
  • Counter service and sales
  • Answer questions and take sales orders in-person and over the phone
  • Assist HVAC/R and Plumbing trade customers obtain the parts and equipment they need
  • Educate customers on product attributes, features and benefits of new products
  • Overcome objections and close sales
  • Be respectful and helpful to customers
  • Check orders and verify shipments
  • Keep area stocked and orderly
  • Follow-up on shortages and expedite through reporting to warehouse manager
  • Supply service technicians with parts ordered through parts requisition forms
  • Other tasks as needed
 
Qualified candidates will possess:
  • 1 to 3 years Heating/HVAC & Plumbing counter sales experience
  • Outstanding mechanical aptitude
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to use Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and conduct internet searches
  • Initiative to take on new responsibilities and learn new things
  • Work well in a team environment and be able to follow directions from a supervisor
  • Multi-task as needed
  • Be able to lift 50 pounds
