Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Pay Rate: $80,000 to $90,000 DOE

Job Overview: The Program Engineer, Swiss Screw is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating the manufacturing processes of the Swiss Screw Machine department. This includes providing drawings of the customer parts, determine that the manufacturing method is within the company's capabilities, estimating production times and establishes document control over tooling, operation routing, CNC machine programs and SPC programs.
 
Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Establish the production process in the Swiss Screw Machine department for a customer’s part that is most efficient and within the company's capabilities.
  • Generate, program, and troubleshoot programs for Swiss Screw machines.
  • Create and maintain control over documents needed to manufacture the product.
  • Perform set-ups and run specific equipment
  • Provide management information used in cost estimating.
  • Recommend and cost justify the addition of new equipment.
  • Participate in the training of production personnel.
  • Interact with customers/vendors.
  • Interact with Estimating and the Quality department.
  • Support the Sales staff by answering questions and reviewing quotes.
  • Write WI's, SOP's, CAR's, and Root Cause Analysis for CAR's.
 
Requirements:  The successful candidate will need a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering and a minimum of five (5) years of industry experience.  In addition, the successful candidate must have related experience to be in a machine shop utilizing CNC Swiss screw machine tools and must be proficient in CNC programming utilizing Auto CAD. Part Maker, and/or Solid Works.  Must be able to troubleshoot CNC programs.
