As a Data Architect in this role, you will be designing HEDIS data integrations and ETL workflows using Snowflake and MarkLogic Data Hub!

We are currently looking for a Data Architect that is eager for their next big challenge! IQ is working with a healthcare client that is ready to redesign their existing Health Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) engine.
The HEDIS engine is a critical component in the company's data strategy as it makes it possible to measure essential dimensions of care and service. Their current engine is based on PLSQL and was recently transitioned to Informatica. MarkLogic Data Hub and Snowflake will power the new HEDIS engine that you will help design and implement.
As the Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing all data integrations and ETL workflows. You will be working and collaborating closely with a small team of other data engineers. Previous experience with HEDIS is not a requirement for this role; however, the ideal candidate must be excited to learn about this technology. The HEDIS engine you help create will allow millions of customers to make well-informed healthcare decisions.
  • Responsible for the design, development, execution, and deployment of the new HEDIS engine and all integrations and ETL/ELT workflows.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams and management to create a data strategy that addresses the HEDIS and other business requirements.
  • Develop all necessary data models.
  • Explain and implement best practices across database design and ETL/ELT workflows.
  • Direct the work of others during ETL/ELT development.
Must Haves
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field with at least seven years of relevant work experience or 11 years total, in Data Warehousing, ETL/ELT, Data Modeling, or Data Integration.
  • Strong knowledge of database platforms, database design patterns, and common data integration patterns.
  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills with demonstrated ability to combine broad technical and business factors.
  • Demonstrated ability to direct the implementation of diverse technologies in a complex organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Bonus Points
  • Experience with HEDIS, NCQA, or other medical data standards
  • Experience with Snowflake
  • Experience with MarkLogic Data Hub
  • Experience with PSQL and Oracle Database
