Team Overview

This team is part of the Global Alternative Investment Services team within Business Operations. The core focus of the team is to provide consistent data capture related to our alternatives platform, and dissemination of the data to various consumers. We offer clients strategies designed to provide returns with low correlations to the broad equity and bond markets, including private equity, real estate equity and debt, hedge funds of funds, single strategy hedge funds, long-only absolute return strategies, commodities and structured products. Our alternative investment capabilities are fully integrated into this company, allowing investment teams to capitalize on the firm’s considerable resources in areas such as risk management, product development, client service and operational support.

Role Responsibility
  • Collaborate with Alternative Operations / this company Alternative Investors (BAI) leadership teams to organize and execute plan to upgrade operating model for BAI funds demonstrating best practices and best in class technology
  • Interact with Portfolio Management, NAV Oversight, and Client Servicing / Reporting teams as needed to develop best in class operating model for Private Credit and Real Assets platforms
  • Support the onboarding of new alternative investor mandates, investments, and vehicles, including advising & implementing processes for investment/trade lifecycle management, cash management, reporting, and reconciliation;
  • Work with Business teams to design and implement enhanced procedures to support cash management, capital activity, and investment funding processes
  • Collaborate closely with external service providers, internal team members and other of this company's groups to resolve operational issues, as identified;
  • Find opportunities for technological innovation and improvements to processes
  • Identify risk areas and implement/improve risk-mitigating controls
  • Assist with preparation and review of reporting deliverables and ensure deadlines are met;
  • Ensure the team’s process documentation and controls are updated and reviewed regularly;
  • 7-15 years’ experience in consulting, portfolio management, operations, fund accounting or related areas with a heavy focus on private funds and private markets investments
  • A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Information Systems, or Accounting is preferred
  • A developed understanding of systems and data architecture is required
  • Exposure to eFront, Geneva, and/or Investran is preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Experience multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment;
  • Highly organized and able to adapt to variable deadlines;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; and
  • Outstanding work ethic required along with demonstrated success in high performance or high demand environments.
