An excellent opportunity for a local Senior Account Executive who is experienced in the energy and geology industry focused on developing relationships and expanding networks with clients who are based in the oil, gas and energy sector throughout North America and Internationally. 


Our client is a locally based organization that provides companies with technical data solutions to the energy sector.  With three distinct verticals our client has a unique and innovative data based service that has been developing for over 35 years. These datasets are critical components for various companies as they use this information to forecast strategic decision making for their business and allows them to make decisions for their futures based off of factual data points.  Through the use of distinct algorithms and project workflows our client has created a substantial library of datasets for their partnering companies to use.  Their libraries contain the most current and applicable information in the market and with this data companies can excel and deliver solutions throughout the energy industry. The Senior Account Executive will have experience in the energy industry in business development or sales with ideally a technical background in geology, geophysics or engineering.  This individual will be based in Calgary with an established network of various energy sector specialists including companies in the finance, production, EPC, engineering and manufacturing industries.  With a technical background the ideal candidate will be able to present on the importance of our Clients datasets and libraries to the success of their company's forecasting and deliverables and also be able to develop and build new relationships with new organizations in various sectors of the energy industry.  This individual will be ambitious and have the ability to work autonomously while also reaching key performance indicators that guide their monthly and quarterly target results.  

The ideal candidate for the Senior Account Executive position will have the following credentials;
  • Bachelor's in Geology, Geophysics, Engineering or related field an asset
  • 8 + years' experience working in the energy industry either technically or in sales
  • Some experience with business development and developing relationships an asset
  • Strong understanding of the sales cycle and developing further business locally and across North America
  • Excellent project management experience working with projects from inception to completion
  • Ability to present and demonstrate software for current and new clients
  • Leadership skill set and experience leading a team is an asset
  • Strong client relations skills with strong interpersonal skills for further business development
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
