We are actively recruiting for an Assistant Meat Manager to join our clients well established team.

We are actively recruiting for an Assistant Meat Manager to join our clients well established team. Our client is open to on-island candidates and relocating someone from overseas. There is a generous relocation package on offer. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for; 
  • Leading all Meat Department employees 
  • Liaising directly with key clients within the local food service and retail industry 
  • Sourcing and purchasing proteins from overseas suppliers 
  • Maintaining a HACCP compliant work environment 
  • Providing excellent customer service to customers on a daily basis 
  • Additional ad-hoc duties as required 
To be successful in this role, you must have; 
  • Minimum 5 years experience in the wholesale and/or retail meat industry and 3 years experience in a supervisory level 
  • Prior experience supervising staff 
  • Must be able and knowledgeable of maintaining cutting specifications in keeping with US Meat Food Services Buyers Guide 
  • Ability and willingness to work in a frozen or refrigerated environment and work flexible hours as and when required
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs 
  • Prior experience working with recipes for meat tumbling; sausages, marinates is a plus
