  • Oversee all aspects of company bookkeeping including G/L, A/R, A/P, payroll, reconciliations, etc.
  • Ensure that effective internal control system is in place
  • Control, maintain, and review the general ledger
  • Analyze financial results to identify issues and opportunities
  • Ensure proper documentations are in place to provide for an accurate audit trail to support all financial records
  • Approve and process invoices and check payments
  • Review monthly billings
  • Review bank reconciliations
  • Processing up to Trial Balance stage and preparing financial statements for lodgment with the Australian Taxation Office.
  • Preparation of Business Activity Statements and Installment Activity Statements for lodgment with the Australian Taxation Office
  • Complete required tax reporting in a timely manner
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Conduct research, analysis, development, and summarization of financial information for audit purposes and financial reporting and to perform the financial administration and reporting of federal and state grants.
  • Manage a small team of outsourced accounting and administrative professionals.
  • Supervise, mentor, and oversee accounting personnel.
  • Assist in hiring and building the outsourced team

Professional Experience/Qualifications:
  • Graduate of Bachelor's degree in Accountancy; Licensed CPA is an advantage
  • Strong analytical skills and experience
  • Capable self-starter with an ability to operate successfully in a less structured environment
  • High standards of personal integrity and respect for the individual
  • Demonstrated experience building and managing high performing teams
  • Experience working with Xero accounting software and Microsoft Office (preferably Xero Certified)
  • Detail orientated and roll up your sleeves attitude
