About the Role
Responsible in ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of payroll process for PH and or/AU entities. The position is also responsible for the final closing of all books for specific period, reconciliation of accounts and all other things (ad hoc) falling under general accounting function, tax and compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Payroll
  • Prepare and monitor employees’ payroll for PH and/or AU entities
  • Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating and entering data
  • Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes
  • Calculate and balance automated payroll
  • Process final pays and 2316
  • Records payroll related entries
  • Resolves payroll disputes/discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential
  • General Accounting
  • Drives month end closing activities
  • General Ledger maintenance
  • Ensures the correctness of recordings
  • End to end process of accounting – accounts payable, payroll, bank reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation and general accounting
  • Maintains fixed asset register with lapsing schedule for depreciation for all fixed assets
  • Maintains accounting controls by establishing a chart of accounts; defining accounting policies and procedures
  • Responsible in preparing monthly journal entries such as expense allocations, prepayment and accrual recognition
  • Reviews Balance Sheet schedules for all entities
  • Prepares balance sheet reconciliation schedules and other monthly account reconciliations, propose adjusting entries and ensure correctness and integrity of financial data

  • Developing and implementing business process improvements
  • Ad hoc requirements falling under payroll and general accounting functions
Skills and Experience:
  • Experience processing payroll for large employee population
  • Strong knowledge in handling payroll and government mandated benefits
  • At least 2 years of experience in PH accounting and payroll
  • Special Skills: (Systems, Licenses, Languages, Technical knowledge)
  • Ideally with accounting software experience
  • Preferably with PH and AU general accounting knowledge and experience
  • Preferably with experience in handling HR system
  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
  • Must be highly proficient with MS excel
  • Excellent organization skill, time management and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize, plan and organize work in order to meet tight deadlines
