Excelon Associates is seeking an Executive Director, Marketing for an opportunity in Milwaukee, WI.

Job Title:  Executive Director of Marketing
Summary:  Reporting to the President, the Executive Director of Marketing will create and implement marketing strategies, objectives, and targets towards both domestic and international markets. He/she will be responsible for providing guidance to our marketing team by evaluating and developing marketing strategies, planning, and coordinating marketing efforts, communicating the marketing plans to those involved, and building awareness and positioning for products, services, events, and brands. The Executive Director of Marketing will also be working closely with our sales team to develop pricing strategies that will help us maximize profits and market share. This person is a highly motivated and self-driven individual that will bring new ideas for marketing implementation strategies to the table while continuing to expand their knowledge within the industry and closely monitor trends and emerging customer needs. This individual will have experience in and have a passion for driving market presence and revenues. This position is full-time exempt salaried with benefits, ideally in the Milwaukee, WI Headquarters.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the marketing team, plan, direct, and coordinate marketing efforts.
  • Promote and introduce existing programs/brands to new and existing markets, research demand for our products and services.
  • Research and develop marketing opportunities and plans, understanding consumer requirements, identifying market trends, and suggesting system improvements to achieve the company's goals.
  • Analyze and manage budgets; assist in annual budget development; schedule and manage expenditures; ensure budget targets are met.
  • Gather, investigate, analyze, and summarize market data and trends to draft reports.
  • Research competition
  • Work with the sales team to develop pricing strategies to maximize profits and market share while balancing customer satisfaction and needs.
  • Develop and manage aggressive advertising campaigns.
  • Support sales and lead generation efforts
  • Assist in organizing events, programs, and services.
  • Coordinate with the Social Media/Marketing team to create and maintain a social media calendar for short-term initiatives and long-term brand campaigns.
  • Stay current in the industry by attending educational opportunities, conferences, and workshops, reading publications, and maintaining personal and professional networks.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field. 5 years experience in marketing or sales
Language Ability: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Ability: Ability to calculate figures and amounts.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills: Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Outlook, and Word) and data entry.
