Excelon Associates is seeking a Chief of Staff for an opportunity with a PE Fund in the greater San Francisco Bay Area.

Chief of Staff
  • Assist the partners with correspondence, dealing with issues and subject matter in ways that may require considerable sensitivity, discretion, judgment, or negotiation
  • Develop alternative approaches to addressing problems and opportunities
  • Facilitate communication across all departments
  • Engage in root causal analysis—often without prompting from the partners or others regarding issues and opportunities that could impact the firm
  • Build and nurture relationships for the purpose of serving as a resource for the partners and point of contact as designated for key constituents to resolve complex issues and help move forward strategic priorities
  • Work to solve problems, mediate disputes, and deal with issues before they “bubble up” to the level that requires immediate attention
  • Manage staff development and training
  • Master’s Degree and at least 8 – 10 years of experience in organizational administration and at least two years of experience in a similar position
  • Knowledge of human resource policies and strategic planning
  • Highly resourceful, with strong emotional intelligence, self-motivation, and strong analytical skills
  • Unquestionable personal code of ethics, integrity, diversity, and trust
  • Able to successfully navigate within varying degrees of ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
  • Must possess exceptional judgment and communication skills
  • Must exhibit the skills to collaborate with and achieve actionable results through others
  • Capable of interacting within all levels of the organization and with external constituents
  • Proven track record of developing effective partnerships across disparate groups and ability to organize and facilitate decisions and ensure implementation
  • Proven experience handling highly confidential and sensitive materials and situations
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to work independently, prioritize work, and independently manage multiple and competing priorities while meeting deadlines
