Key Account Manager

We are currently seeking a Key Account Manager to manage existing customers based out of Toronto
 
The role will report to the VP of sales and have 1 or 2 large national retailers to manage.  Home office based, with an entrepreneurial mindset creating strategies to drive distribution and expand sales with the retail branded products.  
 
Responsibilities:
  • Annual budget planning and execution for your account base to achieve strategic priorities 
  • Negotiate the annual cost and merchandising programs with the Retailers assigned teams
  • Regular reporting and analyzing of data; Nielsens, POS data, pricing and promotions, trade spend, forecasting and market trends
  • Develop and build collaborative relationships internally and externally with your customer base; Accounts & Brokers to drive business and provide solutions/corrective actions to concerns or gaps in the business
  • Develop, bring, and support retail execution ideas to accounts and retail field team to execute.
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree, with a min of 3-5 years of account management in the CPG / Food industry. 
  • Loblaws, Sobey's or Walmart experience required with established relationships
  • Demonstrated experience effectively managing and growing national accounts using a fact-based approach.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Innovated thinker, with excellent problem-solving skills, analytical skills, and of course computer skills
  • Organized and methodical, with good reporting capabilities and business acumen in a fast-paced environment
