RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reviews, processes, and records transactions received from Organizations in accordance with contractual requirements
- Ensures documentation submitted to substantiate requested updates are appropriate and meets the client’s guidelines and regulations
- Performs any necessary updates into the appropriate system of record
- Identifies system issues that prohibit requested changes being input into the appropriate system of record
- Assists in developing, implementing, and documenting processing procedures and work instructions
- Maintains accurate records of actions taken on each transaction processed by entering data into a tracking application
- Adheres to all laws and company policy regarding confidentiality of protected health information
- Receives and processes retroactive transactions from specialized Medicare Advantage Plans for Special Needs Individuals
REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge of insurance enrolment and processing procedures strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Internet and E-mail
- Maintains high quality work while meeting strict deadlines
- Works as a team player, as well as independently
- Practices effective communication when completing all tasks
- Maintains strict confidentiality of all clients and the firm’s business
- Works hours as specified by contract obligations
- Meets productivity standards; completes work in a timely manner; strives to increase productivity and accuracy
