Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist

Responsible for executing various recruiting efforts related to the Human Resources talent acquisition function.

This role is critical in funneling critical human talent to effectively fulfill strategic corporate directives and achieve the overall mission, strategies and success of Sherwood Electromotion Inc., all while meeting the needs of managers, employees and other stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  
  • Conducting full cycle recruitment process including but not limited to posting, sourcing, screening candidates, testing reference check and placement for a wide range of all available positions within a mandated deadline.
  • Executing daily recruiting activities, such as contacting qualified potential candidates through phone screening and setting up first and second in-person interviews.
  • Identifying technically qualified candidates based on capability and fit within the organizational culture.  
  • Ensuring the most effective advertising channels are utilized. Monitoring advertising performance and adjusting spends as required to meet monthly advertising budget as assigned.
  • Ensuring organizational competency gaps are closed through effective advertising, cold calling, and other effective recruiting methods.
  • Coach managers and provide tools for attracting highly qualified and diverse talent from internal and external sources.
  • Create recruiting procedures to be implemented in SEI system.
  • Conduct structured on-boarding process.
  • Other duties as assigned
  Qualification and Requirements  
  • University degree preferred or equivalent
  • 3 plus years progressive Human Resources in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Knowledge of Canadian employment laws
  • Strong business acumen
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Self-starter and energetic with initiative, professionalism and sound analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Solid conflict management skills
  • Ability to maintain information in confidence and exercise good judgment
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite, HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Ability to be self-managing, show a commitment to a task, strong work ethic, exceptional

  • Basic knowledge business and management principles involved in strategic planning.
  • Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
