Part of the center management team.

Job Summary: The Director Assistant position assists the Center Director in running the day-to-day operations of the center and also fills in for the Director when necessary. This role will be expected to complete all activities in accordance with company policies, licensing regulations and all applicable laws and internal operational and quality expectations. This position reports into the Center Director.

 Qualifications:
Director Assistants require one of the following:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood, Elementary Education or related field
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 30 credit hours in Early Childhood Education and 2 years experience with children
  • Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood or related field 2 years experience with children
  • Associate’s Degree with 30 credit hours in Early Childhood Education and 3 years experience with children
 
Job Responsibilities: The essential activities of the Director Assistant are to support the Center’s overall management through the following responsibilities and any additional tasks, as assigned:
  
Administrative:
  • Accurately complete all tasks in the Monthly Operations binder.
  • Collect and maintain all paperwork required for licensing, accreditation and Doodle Bugs! procedural compliance.
  • Maintain regular communication with Center Director.
  • Assist in correcting violations and communicate with Center Director to consult on follow up.
  • Assist in coordinating inspections and corrective actions as needed.
  • Assist in recruiting and interviewing faculty for all positions within center.
  • Accurately maintain child and employee files.
  • Report all accidents to Center Director.
  • Identify, report and track the timely completion of all facility repairs and needs.
  • Ensure that adequate supplies are maintained (food, curriculum supplies, marketing, etc.).
  • Maintain accurate records related to billing and accounts receivable.
  • Contribute to newsletters and social media updates.
  Enrollment:
  • Promote your center within the community.
  • Convert inquiries to tours.
  • Conduct high quality, personalized center tours.
  • Complete all enrollment paperwork with parents.
  • Orient new families to the program.
  Family Relations:
  • Ensure families’ satisfaction through regular communication and accessibility.
  • Communicate accreditation standards and processes to families.
  • Address all parent concerns promptly in Center Director’s absence.
  • Communicate information regarding center and community events.
  
Professional Development:
  • Facilitate and participate in training on developmentally appropriate practices, accreditation standards, licensing requirements and company procedures.
  • Identify and mentor high potential faculty.
  • Participate in annual Doodle Bugs! conference.
  • Attend at least one local or regional conference per year.
  • Stay current on Doodle Bugs! policies, licensing regulations, state and federal employment laws, accreditation standards, early childhood education trends and other pertinent information.
  • Participate in community events.
  
Supervision:
  • Ensure that the center is consistently Safe, Clean, Organized, Professional and Educational (S.C.O.P.E).
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, licensing regulations and required child to staff ratios.
  • Educate and mentor employees daily on developmentally appropriate practices, accreditation standards, licensing requirements and company procedures.
  • Ensure that Bravo! Curriculum is appropriately implemented daily.

  • Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Internet Explorer.
