Food People have been exclusively retained by a successful and growing multi-faceted F&B organisation in their search for a Sales Manager - Catering.
 
As a Sales Manager – Catering, you will be responsible for driving revenue and profitability of the division, securing new business and maintaining repeat customers for the facility. This will be done through sales calls, networking, advertising and social media. You will also be responsible for negotiating prices and help clients in the organisation of their events.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Meet and greet clients, conduct property tours, and promote facilities and services. Answers client inquiries. 
  • Customize product solutions to increase customer satisfaction
  • Travel to meet with or call clients by telephone to solicit annual, weekday and weekend business. 
  • Interview, train, resolve problems and provide open communication to newly hired catering associates when appropriate. 
  • Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients. 
  • Develop client menus, write contracts and letters, as well as organise all other arrangements as they relate to social and corporate events. 
  • Supervise and attend the overall set up and implementation of events and meetings.
  • Communicate with relevant departments to ensure proper servicing of accounts. 
  • Prepare and present weekly and monthly Catering/Sales reports. 
 
KEY INGREDIENTS 
  • Proven work experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Account Executive, Catering Sales Manager or similar role
  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)
  • Track record of achieving sales quotas
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Familiarity with MS Excel (analysing spreadsheets and charts)
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to deliver engaging presentations
