Automation Technician
Location: Nashville, TN
Salary: $33.00 to $40.00/hr.
Bonus: Two (2) paid in June and December Annually

The Automation Technician is a highly self-motivated individual who is extremely knowledgeable in troubleshooting instruments and controls on all automation and auxiliary equipment.
  • Play a vital role in plant operations by focusing on machine issues of the highest priority.
  • Leadership role that mentors, trains, and assist mechanics in electrical troubleshooting and repairing of equipment.
The Automation Technician will work closely with the Process Engineer and Maintenance Supervisor to improve current equipment, install new equipment, and develop new programs for automation equipment to support new part designs while always keeping safety first.
Requirement:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must have own set of tools
  • Able to read and work from technical manuals and electrical schematics
  • Must possess mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical troubleshooting skills
Experience:
8-10 years of experience:
  • Working on industrial automation equipment
  • Installing new or used automation equipment
  • Troubleshooting electrical equipment
  • Experience working with switch gears up to 480 volts
  • Strong PLC background working with Allan Bradley, RS Logix 500, RS Logix 5000.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing PLC circuits and relay logic.
  • Replace circuits, contactors, switches, and wiring new electrical panels. Troubleshooting and replace high frequency drives.
  • Rebuilding, troubleshooting, and repairing AC and DC industrial motors and servos.
  • Troubleshooting and servicing pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Knowledge of vacuum pumps and material handling systems (loaders and silos).
  • Repair and Maintenance of high speed assembly machines and conveyor systems.
