SUMMARY
 
The Training & Development Specialist will be responsible for facilitating and maintaining the company’s leadership development curriculum. The training being developed and facilitated focuses on employee’s soft skills such as Conflict Resolution, Situational Leadership, Ethics and communication.  This role is responsible for refining material, promoting, and protecting our values-based culture. This is conducted through training classes, introductory coaching, and providing facilitation services when necessary (conflict resolution, focus groups, decision focus, etc.) and providing introductory-level coaching services.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Delivers instructional curriculum in a manner consistent with the company’s vision, mission, and values
  • Updates instructional curriculum as instructed by the Director
  • Promotes and reinforces tools, lessons and processes taught in classes to ensure customer integration of critical competencies
  • Continually acquires new developmental and instructional skills essential for sustained, productive, and professional soft-skills presentations
  • Delivers and evaluates on-boarding content for new hires
  • Communicates learning event details, pre-work assignments, material printing, scheduling and/or course changes to Client Services Manager
  • Establishes and maintains positive relationships with students, supervisors and training suppliers/vendors
  • Responds to employee development requests by diagnostic questions, recommending appropriate tools/classes and/or redirecting to another specialist
  • Solicits feedback, analyzes information, and demonstrates sound decision- making/judgment skills
  • Maintains confidentiality in alignment with values culture and organizational guidelines
REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Five years of related experience required; 10 years preferred
  • Ability to apply influencing skills in emotionally charged situations
  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects and deal effectively with employees and
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to include formal presentation skills before small and large groups
  • Situational Leadership II Certification preferred
  • Thomas Kilman Conflict Assessment Certification preferred
  • DiSC Personality Profile Certification preferred
  • Salary DOE: $70k - $100k
