Our client is looking for an innovative and experienced Database Analyst with a strong background in SQL Server to help them integrate the data warehouses of several recent acquisitions and develope their ETL/BI Strategy going forward.
This Analyst will build, develop, implement, and support mission-critical business systems using SQL Server and Microsoft Dynamics. They will provide ongoing production support for their Database/Datawarehouse and CRM instances, generate Ad Hoc Reports for business stakeholders, create new databases as needed and spearhead ETL activities to import data from various disparate legacy data sources.
Primary Responsibilities: 
  • Perform Database Administration & maintenance of Database and Data Warehouse platforms running on MS SQL Server 2008/12.
  • Develop, modify, tune, troubleshoot, and document Production Systems and Databases
  • Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) data from disparate database platforms into central ERP and CRM systems in MS Dynamics
  • Process Improvement based on your understanding of the relationships between databases and applications
  • Develop and work with Business Intelligence tools (SSRS, SSAS,etc.) - Interpreting data, data collection and analysis
  • Reporting Development - process, design, and present data to help influence business decisions
  • End-user training - effectively present and demonstrate ideas and concepts in user-friendly language 
Experience Required: 
  • Expertise with Microsoft SQL Server, to include general Database administration, writing queries, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with Business Intelligence tools/reporting packages
  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining, and data segmentation techniques
  • Strong data analytics skills with the ability to collect, organize and analyze large data sets
  • B.S degree in Computer Science or Information Management with 2 years working as a database developer or related role 
  • Expertise with Microsoft Windows Server platforms 
This position is a 6-month contract-to-hire role and is a terrific opportunity to join a twenty-five-year-old, well-established, market leader based in the Charleston area.
