The Opportunity:
We are currently seeking an IT Support Engineer who will manage internal networks access, workstations, laptops, telecom, and associated suppliers. This person will be the primary IT support in our client's Charleston office. They will work with the Director of Infrastructure to influence, design, and implement new solutions while supporting a growing team of professionals, providing daily IT Support and assist in setting policies/processes to ensure the stability and secure operation of the business.
How you will impact our client:
As our internal expert, this person will oversee technology use including:
  • Desktop/laptop support for Windows 10, Mac 10.14 Mojave, Fedora and  CentOS Linux systems
  • Create user access for Network infrastructure and systems (switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs)
  • Manage user access to collaborative systems (add/remove users, manage permissions, etc.)
  • Provision users for Telephony systems (VoIP Phone services)
  • Provide ongoing MS Office 365 support and administration
  • Business Continuity technology and practices including anti-virus, patch management, network, and device security, backup/restore
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for any user-related support issues and interface with stakeholders at all levels within the organization.
  • Printer and hardware support, maintenance, and administration
  • Hardware and equipment purchasing, provisioning, and maintenance
What you need to succeed:
  • 5+ years of IT support required
  • Proficiency in user administration within Windows, Office 365 and Azure AD 
  • Experience in managing security standards and procedures to limit company data on personal cell phones.
  • Enthusiasm for hands-on technical work
  • Experience in end-user support including MS Office 365, Adobe, and other common business applications on Windows, Linux and OSX desktop OS'.
  • Knowledge of SSO methods such as SAML, OAuth and LDAP for provisioning.
  • VoIP systems installation administration and support
  • Experience administering Office 365, including Exchange and Sharepoint
  • Ability to take ownership of issues, document, troubleshoot, and resolve
  • Proven strategic thinking and planning skills
  • Proven ability to solve complex technical and business issues
  • Ability to learn new technology quickly and find creative technical solutions for business problems
  • Ability to self-manage, complete projects independently, and report regularly on progress
  • Exceptional hospitality and customer service skills
