Our client is a global consumer product company, with an excellent work environment and benefits.
Drawing upon HR global best practices, the Talent Acquisition and Development Lead will focus on providing their client group(s) with HR solutions by recruits and selects staff to fulfill talent needs for the organization This includes creatively sourcing, interviewing, assessing, and selecting of qualified external candidates, as well as will develop organizational capability by introducing, maintaining and evolving people development programs, providing strategic direction and expertise in establishing a people development framework aligned to business strategy and goals.   Job Responsibilities: Talent Acquisition:
  • Establish strong partnerships with hiring managers to quickly assess needs and develop a comprehensive hiring strategy
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of potential candidates through pro-active sourcing and on-going relationship management
  • Ownership / management of the applicant tracking system and other recruiting software to track and manage the requisition and candidate life cycle
  • Actively builds networks outside the organization to facilitate candidate pipeline development; also must be willing to cold call as needed.
  • Prepare, extend and negotiate competitive job offers.
  • Present meaningful hiring plans and metrics to senior business leaders as required
  • Conduct interviews by evaluating employment factors such as job experience, education, training, skills, knowledge and abilities and other data relevant to the selection process.
  • Conducts community outreach efforts and manages college recruitment activities.
  • Generates communications with candidates such as offer and rejection correspondence. 
  • Work with HR Director on establishing compensation offers to stay within guidelines and salary grades.
  • Prepare offer letters for candidates.
  • Ensures compliance to all applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Seeks out process improvements and overall efficiencies within the HR department.
  • Assists with other HR related projects and processes as requested.
  • Take lead in talent acquisition projects and initiatives related to intern programs, campus recruitment, employer branding and recruitment metrics
  • Support the overall Human Resources function with a focus on employee onboarding and orientation
  • Attracting and retaining talent based on our talent management framework;

Talent /Employee  Development :
  • Build and maintain strong internal and external networks related to people development to identify, recommend and implement appropriate best practices.
  • Responsible for delivering pragmatic solutions / trainings for leadership development programs (front line through to Executive) to continually build leadership capability and foster a culture of learning and development.
  • In partnership with the Global Training Standards Core Team, identify resources, tools, and programs to support US training standards and employee qualifications and maintain Training Standards Toolbox accordingly for all US sites.
  • Participate in the People Development Council with country/regional CoEs around the globe; share best practices, collaborate to validate and test assumptions for global people development requirements.
  • Accountable for the strategic direction, content and oversight of the Company learning program and portal.
  • Support Human Resources in the development of talent management programs eg. Performance Management.
  • In partnership with HR Business Partners, collaborate with relevant stakeholders to conduct and manage ongoing needs assessments, determine people development needs of the workforce and opportunities for continuous organizational improvement.
  • In partnership with procurement, manage external stakeholders, monitor service level agreements, contracts, and implement cost savings measures for all training vendors while maintaining service excellence.
Job Requirements
  • Experience
  • 10-15 years progressive Human Resource experience, including a minimum 5 years in a generalist/employee relations capacity; experience working in a COE and/or a business function an asset
  • University degree in HR or a related field with a preference for a relevant HR designation
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Experience in leading HR programs and projects, including change management responsibilities.
  • Professional HR designation preferred
  • Ability to effectively manage conflicts and diffuse tension among employees
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Employment Legislation; coaching and counseling; dispute resolution and facilitation skills; principles of change management
  • Strong business acumen with demonstrated ability to manage senior level and complex stakeholder groups
  • Superior communication and relationship building skills with the demonstrated ability to cultivate effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Experience working in a global matrix with an inclusive mind-set and ability to adapt to diverse cultural and business needs
  • Ability to apply workforce planning knowledge, engagement strategies and succession management to daily business needs
  • Ability to drive results as an individual contributor while staying focused on overall HR team goals and success
  • Ability to coach, counsel and guide clients across all levels of an organization
  • Skilled at anticipating the long-term impact of all decisions and able to take a broad approach to problem solving
  • Impeccable communication and presentations skills
