SAFR seeks a Director of Federal Sales to support the SAFR sales team based in or around the Washington D.C. metro area. SAFR is a highly accurate computer vision platform focusing on face/person detection and recognition features. What you’re like: A true team player with low ego; no task is above or beneath you. You’re just as comfortable quickly turning around website updates or posting to social media as you are building a new piece of collateral from scratch to help the sales team close a deal, or taking a deep dive into web data to find optimization opportunities. 


In this role, you will: 
  • Sell cutting edge AI technologies into the DoD through a variety of direct and indirect business development activities
  • Lead solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company resources including partner managers, pre-sales, support, service, and management, in order to meet account performance objectives and customer expectations
  • Find, nurture, and close sales opportunities through a structured sales process
  • Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned agencies
  • Create and execute targeted account plans in concert with partner managers and pre-sales
  • Work with channel and alliance partners to increase opportunity size and expedite closure on assigned agencies
  • Report directly to the COO/General Manager

The successful candidate will have the following:

Candidates must possess Enterprise Software and Best of Breed sales experience enabling them to comfortably discuss both business and technology issues with mid- to high-level decision makers. This position requires outstanding technical as well as sales skills. This role will be responsible for product sales in the assigned territory - candidates must be able to work in a collaborative sales environment. Strategic selling and partner engagement within the territory will be required.

  • 5+ years experience selling software to the DoD in a field based position
  • 2+ years experience selling AI technologies and/or solutions
  • Strong and current relationships with customers in the Federal/DoD space
  • Strong senior executive level communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of solution and value-based selling techniques
