Job Title / Reporting to: 

Head of Life Cycle Services (LCS) Sales SA - Reporting to Head of LCS Sales Germany

Job Purpose:

Head of Life Cycle Services (LCS) Sales will be responsible for managing all after-sales activities; LCS project management, spare parts sales, retrofits, machine upgrades, quotation and invoicing processes. The key deliverables are the management of customers, continuous interaction between The client’s offices in  MEA, Head Office in Germany and their Customers. Head of LCS Sales will contribute to the overall success of the organization by ensuring spares, upgrades, consumables and service targets are continuously achieved whilst ensuring continuous development of all sales employees. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with experience of managing a team of +- 20 people

Key Responsibilities:
  • Key Responsibilities:Customer management, ensuring customer service levels are adhered to and continuously improved to supply customers with the best possible service. 
  • Managing and closing out of customer escalations, as effectively as possible as they arise. 
  • Managing LCS Sales team around the creation of quotations, sales orders and invoicing & ensuring effective follow-up is done and customers are kept in the loop with regards to delivery timelines. 
  • Managing performance and development of the LCS sales team, ensuring continuous development around sales aspects and customer management. 
  • Managing LCS project management team with regards to audits, overhauls and retrofit installations, from quotation to the final acceptance stage, ensuring key project management principles are met during WE DO MORE all phases (quotation, installation, commissioning, acceptance, resources, budgets, profitability and closeout). 
  • Manage customer breakdowns, during normal working hours and after-hours ensuring we offer effective support to customers during these situations on site. 
  • Managing performance and development of the LCS project management team, ensuring continuous development towards professional Project Management. 
  • Responsible for achieving LCS sales budgets on spare parts, retrofits, upgrades and service for the Southern African region. 
  • Working closely with regional and international counterparts and departments. 
  • Financial reporting within the subsidiary as well as to Germany.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the manufacturing industry (Bottling and Packages)
  • Display knowledge of principles and procedures for strong financial acumen (Must advise on cost savings and focus on renewals)
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills with strong written and oral Excellent interpersonal, communication and networking skills.
  • Demonstrates resourcefulness, maturity, good analytical skills
  • Working Knowledge and experience of SAP. 
  • Exceptional organizing & planning skills with a proven track record in coordinating complex projects.
  • Uses business processes to get results and experienced in fundamentals of project management.
  • At ease managing and effectively operating within a virtual matrix organization.
  • Strong selling, consultative selling and client relationship management skills.
  • Passionate about customer service/candidate experience
Educational Background:

The ideal candidate must have a business degree in Finance, Business or in a relevant related domain; e.g. BA, BComm or BSC equivalent 
Technical certification essential.
Professional Experience:

A minimum of 3-5 years of management experience within a manufacturing environment. Extensive technical knowledge of bottling and plastic manufacturing machines with a strong record of success.
