Overview of the Role
The Lead Electrical Engineer is a senior position within the engineering team that leads the electrical, protections, instrumentation, and controls design of temporary power plants. The incumbent works on a major project or several projects of moderate scope with complex features. Responsible for reviewing and approving completed engineering designs, performing technical inspections, approving scopes, approving bill of materials, and Quality Assurance. This individual will work closely with other members of the Engineering team, Commercial Operations, Project Management Office, Operations, and Supply Chain.

Responsibilities
· Receives supervision and guidance relating to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts and policy matters.
· Independently applies extensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices in broad areas of assignment, concepts, principles, standards, and methods to ensure that projects are designed and constructed in accordance with the required operational and functional criteria.
· Reviews complete design documents (drawings and specifications) for conformity and quality assurance.
· Develops new techniques and/or improved processes, materials, or products.
· Assists upper-level management and staff as a technical specialist.
· Supervises staff assignments and work products to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
· Reviews and approves scopes, Bill of Materials, and schedules for assignments.

Required Experience
· Must possess a degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited school. Master’s degree preferred.
· Licensure as an EIT or EI as a minimum, PE licensure desired.
· 5 - 10 years experience.
· Thorough understanding of multiple codes, standards, and best practices within assigned discipline and ability to apply and interpret them to project requirements.
· Strong computer skills with working knowledge of CAD software, MS Office applications including MS Project, and other engineering software.
· Strong analytical and detail-oriented aptitude.
· Advanced written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
· Organized and able to multi-task.
· Engaged in life-long learning and professional development to maintain knowledge of current issues.

* This role will involve national and international travel 30% of the time

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $110,000.00 to $120,000.00 /year
