What you will do
As our Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for managing all the inventory for your location. You will pick requested materials for solar installation jobs each day and ensure that inventory is accurate. 
 
Your main responsibilities will include:
  • Assisting in all daily warehouse activities and ensuring compliance with company procedures.
  • Managing warehouse inventory, ensuring inventory/asset accuracy and accountability and communicating material needs to the Procurement Team.
  • Overseeing all shipping and receiving functions for the warehouse, verifying counts and receiving all incoming stock.
  • Transferring inventory using a forklift or pallet jack in accordance with Empire’s inventory management software.
  • Maintaining warehouse cleanliness and organization, ensuring compliance with company and safety regulations.
  • Picking and properly documenting all equipment and materials needed for daily installation projects.
  • Working closely with the Warehouse Lead to discuss upcoming installations, special material requirements, and special projects.
  • Assisting in vehicle maintenance and managing vehicle usage via the Key Control Log.
  • Managing Empire’s tool control program and tracking system.
  • Performing quarterly inventory audits and daily cycle counts.
  • Adhering to and supporting all safety regulations set by the company.
  • Other duties as needed.
A little bit about you
While you are able to work well with others, you are comfortable working independently and autonomously, eager to learn and take on new challenges. You have previously worked in a warehouse environment and are familiar with the duties associated with shipping and receiving. You understand the importance of strictly following safety protocols and will ensure to communicate them to others.
 
You also:
  • 2+ years of warehouse experience
  • Have ERP/Inventory Management knowledge (will need to demonstrate)
  • Have a high school diploma or GED
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Have a forklift certification (not necessary, but preferred)
  • Have a 10-hour OSHA Safety course certification
  • Have strong organizational and communication skills
  • Are comfortable utilizing Microsoft Office and Google Apps
  • Are able to lift 50-70 lbs repetitively
