What you will do
As the Branch Coordinator, you will focus heavily on assisting the Field Operations team in performing administrative and organizational tasks associated with maintaining the solar field crews. You will serve as the primary point of contact for assigned service partners or branch, own and develop partner or branch relationships including weekly/monthly reviews, utilization and workload management, process updates, identification, and resolution of specific market and process issues. You will be working to pursue and achieve tactical or strategic objectives pertaining to the overall vision of Empire and assist in the execution of work necessary to meet short-term objectives.
Your main responsibilities will include:
  • Coordinating daily activities and workflow of Permitting, Inspections, and PTO
  • Navigating mid-level permitting and PTO roadblocks
  • Providing daily reports of all completed permits, inspections, and PTO to the branch manager
  • Updating and maintain licensing validation for all relevant AHJs
  • Maintaining all accurate data fields in our database 
  • Coordinating and requesting rough electrical inspections and final inspections
  • Preparing outgoing job folders and documents
  • Assisting the field departments (solar, structural, and service) to align and share resources and keep jobs running smoothly
  • AHJ on-going research and documentation of inspection protocols and processes
  • Schedule service calls for inspection fixes same day as inspection results
  • MPU scheduling and coordination with utilities, subs, and AHJ
  • Providing local support and oversight of permitting and managing design revisions
  • Remaining informed of market policy and legislative solar issues 
  • Developing AHJ and Utility data on permitting processes
  • Performing additional duties as determined by the Branch Manager

You also:
  • Have 2+ years of experience in an administrative role in the solar industry
  • Have demonstrated the ability to learn and use new software
  • Possess excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize work
  • Are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Have excellent problem-solving skills and can formulate practical solutions
  • Possess efficient organizational skills
