Job Description
Our client has an upcoming opening for a superintendent responsible for the following:
  • Manage day-to-day field activities on job sites to ensure that project milestone dates and overall schedule completion dates are met or completed ahead of schedule.
  • Create and maintain a culture that values worker safety, production of quality work, and teamwork.
  • Meet with owners/client representatives, subcontractors, and company staff regarding project status.
  • Proactively identify and resolve problems and assure that both the client and Company senior management is kept informed of project status.
  • Managing subcontractors on the job site and manage self-performed activities as applicable to ensure that work is being performed within the established project schedule and budget.
  • Managing changes in project scope to ensure that the most current contract documents are being used at all times and red-line drawings are updated as needed.
  • Create daily progress reports, accident reports, and document potential change orders.
Company Brand Building
  • Advocate for and positively represent the company in your relationship building with other team members, clients, subcontractors and suppliers
  • Attend or organize company sponsored events, holiday parties, BBQ's, etc.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally. Assist in other departments or cross-train if requested.
And other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma required
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a superintendent for a general contractor
  • Current safety credentials to include OSHA 30, 1st Aid and CPR.
  • Experience creating and maintaining safe construction sites
  • Start to finish experience successfully completing at least two commercial construction projects valued between $25 50 Million each.
  • Knowledge of building construction processes and procedures.
  • Quality Control
  • Experience owning and improving project schedules
  • Experience developing subcontractor relationships
  • Must have experience on Federal projects
  • Must have HSPD-12 Credentials.
  • Able to operate job site machinery i.e. fork lift, scissor lift, scaffolding, etc.
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Prefer experience working at highly secure US Government sites
  • Current CQC certification issued by USACE/NAVFAC is a plus.
