The IT Business Analyst is expected to lead and drive business meetings with key partners to define the business problem, desired capabilities, and requirements. Apply critical thinking to determine process impacts and business benefits. Communicate a well told story, based on facts and data, which can be leveraged to make informed decisions regarding technology investments and their priority. Defines and enhances the BA methodology and tools.
  • Leads large or multiple agile/waterfall/iterative projects with a focus on process documentation, requirements documents, user story development, user acceptance testing and training/communications
  • Acts as a strategic thought partner, propose alternatives/solutions in alignment with requirements/objectives/timelines and address issues facing the business
  • Acts as liaison with technical and development teams to convert business requirements into technology requirements
  • Develops business cases, test cases and fulfill the project SME role on various projects
  • Supports implementation and testing
  • Performs systems testing and User Acceptance testing
  • Help in change management plans to ensure adoption of process improvement changes and technology solutions across the organization
  • Ensures proper processes are followed in the systems life cycle
  • Provides functional/technical and application support for troubleshooting and resolving issues where required
  • Helps with Project reporting and communicating across all various levels of the organization
  • 7+ years of experience as a BA/BSA or equivalent.
  • Waterfall, Agile and Iterative project experience translating customer needs into business requirements.
  • Deep knowledge of Project Management Methodology, End-to-End understanding of project life cycle — defining scope and requirements clearly through testing and system implementation
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills and ability to translate business functionality and opportunities into clear, precise and easy-to-read functional specifications
  • Strong business acumen to quickly learn new business processes and understand how IT needs to support the business in achieving revenue and profit goals
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to effectively communicate with both business and technical IT teams
  • Sound understanding of technical concepts
  • Experience with MS Word/Excel/Project/Visio/Sharepoint
  • Alignment and strong partnership building with multiple technology and business partners
