Looking for an expert back end support resource with strong SQL Server, dating back to 2008R2, maintenance, performance tuning and disaster recovery

Please let me know if you're open to this 1 year contract in the Philadelphia area, with some remote work.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• University degree or equivalent work experience
Expert knowledge of :

o Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of current and previous MS SQL server versions/editions dating back to 2008R2
o SQL server maintenance tasks
o SQL server high availability / disaster recovery solutions especially SQL Cluster and Always On
o SQL server backup strategies and recovery of instances and databases
o Performance tuning/optimisation of SQL server
o Data encryption

Good knowledge of :
o SQL server monitoring concepts
o Data protection (GDPR/SOX etc. concepts)
o Security, secure SQL server access and user/role assignment
o Secure SQL networking
o T-SQL\PowerShell
o Cloud concepts – optional (e.g. Azure\AWS\GCP)
• Hands on experience in :
o Upgrading and updating SQL server
o Log shipping, mirroring, replication techniques
o SCOM operations
o Windows OS administration - optional
o Virtualisation technology (VMware/Citrix) - optional
o SSIS/SSRS administration - optional
• Ability to plan and execute patch plan for SQL server
• Open to work in 16x5 support shifts and on-call support during off-business hours and weekends
• Experience with ITIL processes especially incident, change and problem management
• Need to be independent and coordinate with various teams for the daily operations, plan and execute scheduled activities.
• Possesses SQL Server Microsoft certification at associate or expert level
• Willingness to learn new skills and technologies.
• Ability to think independently and have ability to find solutions to complex issues from different sources
• Ability to make quick decisions, assume leadership without supervision, able to assume a role of authority as necessary.
• A keen eye for detail and a result driven approach
• Effective analysis: Ability to listen, analyze and summarize.
• Ability to work in stressful situations. Conflict management skills is a plus.
• Customer and team-work oriented.
• Outstanding communication skills. Excellent English written and oral communication skills

WORK EXPERIENCE Must have's:

• Min 5 to 7 years in Microsoft SQL Server administration
• Experience in working in a large organization with globally distributed personnel, functions and operations
• Software industry experience strongly preferred.
