About the Opportunity
The Solar Field Technician will provide service, maintenance and warranty remediation and commissioning for installed photovoltaic inverters and monitoring. This position will be responsible for servicing customers in a designated area and will report to the director of operations.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Explain products to customers.
  • Recommend updates, improvements and strategic changes to management.
  • Complete site surveys.
  • Be present for electrical inspections.
  • Connect solar panels and inverters to the building's power supply.
  • Repair or replace PV-related wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Assemble, install, test and maintain PV-related wiring, equipment, appliances.
  • Evaluate information to determine code compliance.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Must be customer-oriented with a professional demeanor.
  • Frequent travel to and from customer locations – daily/monthly.
  • Must have knowledge of Modbus serial and Ethernet communications.
  • 2-year technical degree and 2-5 years of industry work experience with inverters is a plus but not necessary.
  • Great interpersonal, oral and written skills are required.
  • Requires analytical and quantitative skills.
