About the Opportunity
Our Client is seeking a best in class Director of Sales to manage their growing residential solar sales team. The Director of Sales Responsibilities includes but are not limited too.
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of residential and commercial solar sales
  • Hire, train, inspire and manage a team of high performing solar consultants
  • Maintain a strong focus on overall customer experience and customer referrals
  • Participate in the development and launch of new products and services
  • Leverage data to inform sales strategies and measure success
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to achieve overall company objectives
  • Collaborate with other members of the Leadership Team to set annual budgets
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the competitive landscape and market trends
  • Pursue business development opportunities to support sales growth, including personally handling strategic customers
 
Desired Experiences and Qualifications  
  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience; ideally 7+ years of successfully managing high performing sales teams
  • Experience with in-home sales in high growth companies, particularly in the energy efficiency, home improvement or solar sectors preferred
  • Experience in commercial sales is a plus
  • Experience selling high-value items through a consultative process
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong sales training background
  • Analytical, data-driven and detail-oriented
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • A dynamic leader and effective team player
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to communicate and present across all levels internally and externally
  • Persistent and determined mindset.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
  • Solid and stable work history.
