ABOUT THE ROLE

Our hiring partner has a paid internship opportunity in their Engineering Department to provide valuable insight into their fast-growing technology company. This 10-week program from June to August 2021 will be structured in a way to learn from various tech leaders and contribute value through project work and cross-team collaboration.  
 
Interns should be prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment, learn, and aspire towards the company and principles and ethos.  You will have the opportunity to build strong relationships across the organization to problem-solve as well as develop your business acumen within various departments.  As a Software Engineer Intern, you’ll be paired with a Navigator, a peer on the Engineering Team who will help you get up to speed and guide you along your path. 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop an understanding of how the company performs and innovates within the industry
  • Contribute to building new features for their products on the frontend and backend
  • Debug code and fix defects 
  • Document your work in a clear and concise manner
  • Gain an understanding of the many moving parts of a complex enterprise software platform
  • Continuously improve your coding skills while working alongside a talented and high performing engineering team
  • Understand and participate in an Agile development approach
  • Create and deliver a retrospective of your internship: accomplishments, learnings, and recommendations

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Undergraduate or Graduate student, preferably with a major in Computer Science related field
  • Knowledge of 1 or more of the major programming languages, Python or Javascript is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of various business platforms and software is a plus
  • G-Suite product experience is a plus
